Q: What comes included with the GPX Mobile?

A: The kit includes:

  • GPX Mobile Device

  • Compact soft-sided travel case

  • Lipstick Camera and extension cable

  • Rigid 1/4-20" mounting system

  • Vibration-dampening roll bar mount

Q: Can the GPX Mobile be used without a data logger?

A: Yes, the GPX Mobile kit includes a Lipstick Camera, allowing it to function independently of a data logger. An upgraded Rugged Bullet Camera is also available for purchase.

Q: How long does the internal battery last?

A: The internal battery lasts 2-3 hours on a full charge. For extended usage, an onboard charging harness is available

Q: What video resolutions does the GPX Mobile support?

A: The device supports video streaming from 360p to 1080p, depending on your network conditions and preferences.

Q: Does the device support remote management?

A: Yes, you can manage the GPX Mobile remotely through the GPX Dash, including starting/stopping streams, adjusting settings, and remotely locking the screen.

Q: What networks are compatible with GPX Mobile?

A: The GPX Mobile is compatible with 5G and LTE networks for high-speed, low-latency streaming.


Installation & Setup Questions

Q: How do I mount the GPX Mobile in my car?

A: Use the provided roll bar mount and clip. Ensure the mount is securely tightened. Please see our installation instructions here.

Q: Can I use the device without external power?

A: Yes, the internal battery allows for standalone operation, but for long-duration use, external power options like the onboard charging harness are recommended.

Q: How do I connect the GPX Mobile to a data logger?

A: Use an HDMI cable to connect the data logger's output port to the HDMI port on the GPX Mobile. For data loggers with SDI output, an SDI to HDMI conversion kit is available for purchase


Troubleshooting Questions

Q: The device won’t power on. What should I do?

A: Ensure the internal battery is charged. If the device still doesn’t power on, check the connections or contact support for assistance.

Q: The video quality is poor. How can I improve it?

A: Adjust the streaming quality from the GPX Dash. You can select Low, Medium, or High settings to suit network conditions.
